Privacy and Cookie Policy
Last updated: February 4, 2026
1. Introduction
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws.
2. Data We Collect
- Profile Information: Your name, username, and avatar as provided by Telegram.
- Activity Data: Information related to your use of our service, which may be linked to your Telegram user ID.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Service Provision: To provide, maintain, and improve our service (legal basis: performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Message Processing: Text messages from public groups with unidentified language are temporarily stored for up to 2 days solely for the purpose of language detection. Once the language is identified (or set manually by an administrator), messages are no longer stored. Messages are processed in aggregate form and are not linked to individual users (legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3.1 Activity Statistics
We provide group administrators with activity statistics, such as message counts, active days, and join/leave dates. These statistics are for informational purposes only and are not used for automated decision-making or profiling as defined by GDPR.
4. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

Third-Party Services
- Yandex.Metrika: Used for analytics. This service may set its own cookies to collect information about your visits to combot.org. We do not share any personal information with third parties.
- Telegram Login Widget: Used for user authentication and may set its own cookies.
Managing Cookies
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can choose to block or delete cookies, but this may limit the functionality of the site or prevent it from working correctly. Essential cookies (authentication and session cookies) are required for the site to function properly when you are logged in.
5. Data Retention
- Group Data: Data for groups is permanently deleted 60 days after the bot has been removed (unless the bot is added back).
- Cookies: Cookie data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined above.
6. Your Privacy Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
6.1 Right of Access
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (name, username, avatar) here.
6.2 Right to Rectification
Your personal data is automatically updated when you change it in Telegram. We do not offer manual updates.
6.3 Right to Erasure
You can request the erasure of your personal data by removing our bot from all your Telegram groups and stopping use of our service. When you remove the bot from a group, all group-related activity data (such as message counts and activity statistics) is automatically deleted after 60 days of inactivity. However, your profile information (name, username, avatar) is not stored independently by our service; it is only displayed as provided by Telegram and will update or disappear if you change or delete it in Telegram. If you want to ensure no data is processed, you must stop using the bot in all groups.
6.4 Right to Object and Restrict Processing
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. However, due to the nature of our service, the only way to restrict or object to processing is to stop using the bot and leave all Telegram groups where our bot is installed. We do not offer granular opt-out options for individual users.
6.5 Right to Data Portability
You can download a copy of your personal data (name, username, avatar) in JSON format here. This data is portable and can be transferred to another service if needed.
7. Data Sharing and Transfers
We do not share your personally identifiable information with third parties. All data processing occurs within the European Economic Area (EEA) or in countries ensuring an adequate level of protection as recognized by the European Commission.
8. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at [email protected] so we can obtain parental consent or delete the data.
9. Security Measures
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via @combotnews.
